Why I Should Run the U.N.
The New York Times asked each candidate for UNSG to respond to two questions in the form of a short op/ed:
First, we asked them to discuss an avoidable mistake the United Nations had made within the last five years. Second, we asked them what major reform they would undertake as secretary general. Five candidates gave us their answers.
Five of the candidates responded (neither Ban nor Surakiart chose to). Read their responses here (opens in new window) then submit your reactions here.

I would love to see RED CARDS for Mr Ban and Korea is trying to resort vote buying!
However, one should elect UNSG rather than resorting to elimination and rejection of others to elect somebody.
Everybody at UN should like SG, but should not be “I don’t hate him”, as I don’t hate him does not mean I like him or I elect him!

Were the people who didnt respond scared to respond? or did they not have any goals for the UN?
Now we know why it is said that “…..Silence is golden.”

UN should learn from the biggest democratic country how to run an election.Dis qualify the candidate whose Government “bought” vote of the SC members.
